“Hello brother Steve,

Praying all is well with you and your family. We already started the construction of the the first phase of thr church project. As of now we are working on the foundation. We trusted God for the completion of the first phase of the project so that we can use it as a sanctuary this coming November 1. Thank you so much for keeping us in prayer. Please continue to pray for us especially for the materials needed for the roofing and flooring of the church.  We are in need of money to finish the project.  Thank you so much.  In Christ alone,     Martin/CC Canlaon”

September Ministry Update
The Lord Will Never Leave Us Unarmed In The Battlefield.
EVANGELISM GOSPEL KIT DISTRIBUTION.
Our gospel kit distribution continues. We have been to 5 different relocation areas in the northern part of Tacloban to share the gospel with almost 150 people and our main recipients this time were tricycle drivers and were able to gave 61 Gospel Kit to them.We praise God for the opportunity to share His word despite the strict implementation of the quarantine protocols limiting the movement of the people. We were very blessed seeing how the people whom we ministered to responded leading to a number of them accepting Jesus as their Lord and personal Savior. Indeed, God’s word will never go in vain.
DISCIPLESHIP.
There are four young people at the church who always go out of their way to get involved in the ministry namely, Jonas, Mathew, RJ, and Jun-jun. In fact, they have been actively involved in our gospel kit distribution – from the repacking stage to sharing the gospel and to the actual distribution itself. They boldly shared the gospel with tricycle drivers not minding if they are way older than them. It is truly a blessing having them around who are always on the go, doing heartily the greatest commission of Jesus Christ to all of His followers.
I am having a regular discipleship session with these boys. Each of them is leading a bible study weekly. They would keep me updated on how their respective group bible study is doing and they would also ask for ideas to improve their bible study facilitation.
LADIES FELLOWSHIP.
The ladies went to a nearby island for a fellowship. Some of them are so exhausted at work that they needed to unplug and just enjoy God’s creation as well as each other’s company. They shared a word of encouragement with one another while having lunch together. The place is called “Sanctuary Farm” which is currently being developed by the owner into a retreat site.
HOME BIBLE STUDIES.
We have regular home bible studies at Dreamville, one of the relocation sites. Jonas, who is also a bible school student, takes charge in leading these bible studies on a weekly basis. We praise God for the opportunity to be able to minister to the families who are more than willing to listen to His word each time we go to their house for a bible study.
Iron On Iron (IOI).

Few days before Tacloban was placed under General Community Quarantine, a pastors’ fellowship was held and the gathering aimed to encourage one another in the Lord. There are some local pastors and church leaders in the community who have been quite hesitant in continuing with God’s ministry due to the numerous undesirable circumstances brought about by the pandemic. We then listened to God’s word together, shared our testimonies about how the Lord has been continually faithful to our respective families as well as to the flock. We also prayed for each other. We had brunch later on.
GENERAL COMMUNITY QUARANTINE STATUS EXTENDED.
The imposed General Community Quarantine in Tacloban which was supposed to be until Sept. 30 only, got extended for another month. Thus, we are on GCQ until the end of October as announced by the city mayor few days ago. While the movement of the people is being limited by this government mandate in lieu of the fight against COVID-19, the church family continues to strengthen each other through corporate worship and prayer and home bible studies to the families who are unable to join us on Sundays due to the GCQ.
We would like to thank you all for remembering us in prayer. Ministry in this time of pandemic is even more challenging and exciting. The Lord will never leave us unarmed in the battlefield. He will always sustain us no matter what. May we continue to encourage one another as we remain to be of service for Christ’s glory.

“Hello Brother Steve,
Praying all is well for you, your family and your ministry. I thank you for your continous prayer and support for CC Canlaon Ministry.
Starting November 1 of this year CC Canlaon church will transfer to its new location at Sitio Comvol, Mabigo. As part of our preparation, we have to construct a church building on the property donated to us. In connection to this, we would like to ask your prayer and support especially for the financial needed for the building materials.  At least we can raise fund enough for the roofing and the flooring so that we can use it on November. We know that God is working and we entrust everthing to Him. In Christ alone, Martin”

We will be having an online Asia Conference next week, please pray for Gods anointing on the speakers and the attendees.
Pastor Emil:
Please pray for us as we continue to preach the gospel in our community. Tacloban is still under General Community Quarantine and it is to last September 30 due to rising number of Covid-19 cases in the city. As of Sept. 11, we have 605 total confirmed cases, 273 recoveries and 5 deaths. The situation may be different from what we were accustomed to but it won’t stop us from preaching the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
After sharing the gospel, we gave them what we call the gospel kit. The pack includes a booklet containing the Gospel of John, surgical and neoprene facemasks, seeds for planting, handwashing soap. It also has a flier that contains Covid-19 Information and gives instructions on how to plant the seeds. Most importantly, it has a gospel message entitled, “There is hope in Jesus.”
Praise God for His provisions. There were 30 gospel kits given and most of the recipients were tricycle drivers. We look forward to doing this again very soon as the Lord leads. Thank you all for your support. Blessings.
